Looking in the window I see my light

How'd I keep it burning for so long from outside

It never was sustainable the lie was that our hearts were full enough

To see us through

And it all came down

There wasn't ever quite enough

We made it to the ground

But the landing was too rough

I had glimpses of how beautiful it could have been

But I never could manage to walk away

From the promises I'd made

Waking up I see how much has changed

But sadly the reality remains all the same

The light is out, the window's gone, time as always marches on without

A care for us

And it all came down
