Buzzard's Roost

Well, I can be a fox in the tall grass

Stubborn as a big old steer

Tough like a ten pound tomcat

Quiet as a white tail deer

But I fly up high in the thin air

See it all crystal clear

Everybody gotta be somewhere

And I can tell you ain't from around here

Higher than hell now, tried and true

Never gon' fly where the others do

You can find me out here where the buzzards roost

Well, I never did meet me a long day

I couldn't take in a fight

No such thing as a wrong way

When we're gettin' it done just right

Now the fields all sitting at full wheat

Been a good day for a night

Well, that campfire pitchin' that high heat

I got a whiskey on my mind
