Jesus came to me in a dream one night

Promised me there's such thing as a holy light

Shining bright in the sky lighting the path of my feet

Mama said it was true to believe in You

That Your word would be there to guide my life's truth

On my heart if I only open my eyes to see

Now when I look up to the heavens

All my thoughts of trouble cast away

I see the promise of You

A ransom only Your life could pay

When I look up to the sky, I know I'm not gonna die

I got this image of You and it keeps breaking through

Now I've heard that it's wrong

But Your reach is long

That's why I'm here to proclaim

Lord I'm Your picture less frame

Was just a shadow of me with no identity

Until I learned about You, didn't think I needed to

Darkness had covered the earth and was casting a spell over the truth

In the mirror I couldn't see Your reflection looking back at me

Now that Your image is there, sometimes I can't help but to stare

Now when I look up to the heavens, temptation still whispers in my ear

Cause it knows I'm doing Your will

After all that's why we're really here

When I look up to the sky, I know I'm not gonna die

I got Your image on my mind

It follows me all the time

Now some say that it's wrong

Maybe their faith just ain't that strong

Lord Your image has a claim on their picture less frames

I remember when I was young mama used to say to me

That one day I'd be all the things I was meant to be

Life needs me to be tough but would I measure up

To that image You made me. The one thing I can't see

With my eyes but feel You all around me

When I look up to the sky, I know I'm not gonna die

I need Your kingdom to come to this God forsaken

Cause there's so much that is wrong

There's no need to prolong
