Another day standing on the shore

The first glimmer of sun reaches the horizon

My feet sink into the sand

This lingering chill no longer bothers me

I gaze out watching the endless view

Never felt this peaceful before

The current pulls and pushes me on my knees

Slowly dragging me out to sea
