Far from Home

Oh well my brother, he had himself a child.

Two beautiful baby girls, so free and wild.

Oh well my sister, oh her heart was broken.

It never quite did heal up right, and the fire is still smoking.

Deep down in her soul, will they be alright when I go?

Far from home.

Oh well my father, I've seen him so alone.

Well I could not bear to just sit and stare,

And watch the life leave his bones.

Oh well my mother, had her own fall from grace.

But both of them got back up again,

And recovered at their own pace.

So now that I can know,

They will be alright when I go,

Far from home.
