Visions of Hope

It's time to change the way we live

There's too much take, not enough give

 Our so called leaders need, detoxifying

Brothers and sisters, barely surviving

Forest fires turn, our land to ash

Oceans choking with, plastic and trash

Our home is calling, begging for help

 But all they do is keep, helping themselves

These things I see in my visions of hope

 Light up my mind like a kaleidoscope

We all need hope, we all need love

 Pure as a child with a white winged dove

Worshipping Gods and, reading the Bible

 All well and good but you, got to recycle

Take one step in, the right direction

Wash your hands don't, spread infection

Politicians, talk of emissions

All they do is feed, their own ambitions

Which way to go, who can we trust

While all those liars think, only of lust

These things I see in my visions of hope

 Light up my mind like a kaleidoscope

We all need hope, we all need love

 Pure as a child with a white winged dove

  They've drained it dry thinking, only of profit

Not money, but music sits, right in the pocket 

We will recover and, blossom again 

There will be a rainbow, after the rain
