It's Everything

It was just above freezing as the morning mist was lifting

We put in at the oxbow

Then we started drifting

we had nowhere to be

There was so much to see

The egrets and the ospreys

Chasing down a morning wind

A fisherman pulling up rainbows

Just to throw them back again

Quiet royalty

Hiding in the reeds

The air was raining down messages

Answering every question

Doesn't seem like much, buts it’s everything

I leaned into a Douglass fur

The bark against my spine

It felt more alive then me

more in touch with time

The roots were reaching down

Once again I found
