For the life of me, I can't see the world the way you do

But I'd bet a thousand dollars it's the same damn way from me to you

And it's probably just a circle that the sad old human race is cursed to walk

The irony that we are simply animals who learned to drive and talk

Now I greet each new sunrise delightedly

While you look down your nose ever spitefully

I have searched high and low, trying so hard to see

You see blue and I see black, it's empathy we lack and claim to want
