There've been many years gone by

Since my Lord was crucified

Since God's grace has been made known

Where Your kingdom of His reign

As He bled and died that day

Then they laid Him in a tomb

Lying there in death's dark room

You could see His side and hands

That were pierced by sinful men

The crown of thorns was on His brow

But praise His name is now unbowed

For He rose from death that day
