As the four travelers sat around the campfire

They peered into the darkness ahead

It was their last rest before the final stretch

"Can't we stay here any longer?" said the first

"I fear we may never leave," replied the second

And with synchronized motion

They turned to the third companion

As if it were his turn to talk

But silently standing up he signaled it was time to move on

Without any more consideration they followed, for they knew

Their halt was neither result nor conclusion

But merely the catching of a breath before another dive
