As The Crow Flies

Sit on the porch watch the storm as it goes on its way

Call off my plans I ain't leaving the house today

Coffee in the pot on the stove and my hearts a race

Woke up with the sun fell asleep with the moon I chase

Sitting on the garden floor

Fell asleep

Woke up to the pouring rain on my feet

Take another Polaroid

Because in a blink darling we've aged

Sunrise is coming up on the peak

The stars dance their way down into the sea

Shadow of the valley fades

For the day we turn the page

I followed the crow thru the desert to find where he stays

I gave him my time and possessions you know what he paid

Eye for an eye stone for stone better off with a trade

As the crow flies you can follow the path that he takes
