In the beginning God created

Before creation there was a song

Before the sinner there was The Savior

There was right before the wrong

Before the earth and its foundation

Heaven had one song to sing

The Lamb of God’s salvation

Was music’s only theme

You can see Him in the story, He’s the word the perfect rhyme

You can feel Him in the glory, it’s revealed in every line

You can hear Him in the harmony, it repeats His name again

Jesus is the first hallelujah, Jesus is the last amen

The wheel of time will find its ending

And at its ending there is a song

For then the music will be returning

To the place where it belongs

And then at last a grand finale

Will be sung by the redeemed

Oh an encore shouting “worthy”

Is forever’s song to sing
