I look out on my garden and there ain't no roses in bloom

It's a cold, cold night in the winter freeze

I looked up to the sky and there's a Red Kite circling the trees

Fly higher than the mountains

Straight through the valley below

All I see is the cold English winter gloom

I look out my window and I look to the skies

I see that Red Kite climbing so high
