Tumbling

Has it been said?

These things take time

although boring

Aren't we impressed?

These thoughts take forms too heavy to lift

To drown oneself in drink

and feel the body sink

in place among the scraps once thrown

now rooted and still

While you swear we're breaking

the workload in to two

While tumbling up the stairs

a sound too loud to bear

drenched in broken glass so cold its soothing

until flung through the door
