Lucifer

Once clothed in light, a morning star,

He soared through realms, in Heaven afar.

His beauty radiant, unmatched, supreme,

Yet in his heart, there burned a dream.

\"Why serve,\" he mused, \"when I could reign?

Why bow to love, when I know pain?

Why sing in chorus, when I can command?

Why follow orders, when I can stand?\"

With silver tongue and serpent\'s guile,

He swayed the angels, rank and file.

A third did follow, lost to pride,

And Heaven quaked, and angels cried.

Into the pit, the void, the deep,

Where shadows coil and lost souls weep,

Lucifer fell, his wings ablaze,

In torment, bound, in endless maze.

\"Embrace your will,\" he softly speaks,

\"Forsake the light that only weakens.

For power\'s taste, for freedom’s breath,

Walk with me, the path to death.\"

\"Better to reign,\" he declared in fire,

\"Than serve on knees in Heaven’s choir.

In Hell’s abyss, I carve my throne,

A sovereign dark, a realm my own.\"

So heed the tale, and guard your mind,

For Lucifer’s touch is of a kind

That draws you in with promises fair,

But leaves you lost in deep despair.
