Upstream

The evening glow upon the sky

Dusk was falling

Out across the ocean wide

Like a distant calling

Grown tired, only waiting on

The morning to arrive

For to float upstream into the wild

Boundless hunt of life

So he followed the calling out to shore

Where the wind it wailed

Laid a raft to water and

Away he sailed

For those who know the way

May harvest of the wind

To be weaving strings from thin air

And drift upstream

Now the sky was clear

For a while

Then came the rain

And overhead

Remained

Overhead remained wisdom

In its ancient way

From the ocean going upstream

Where a river made its way

Take me with you where you go

I wanna feel it too

Where it once sprung from the snow

To kiss the mountains blue

Drifting

Drifting farther

Drifting on the wild and boundless hunt
