CAT IN A BACKYARD

I’m not like people who can always complain

Given a shoulder by someone

To pat them on the heads gently

They could smile again tomorrow

But all I can do is just to sing

By myself in a spotlight

No escape, never run

Holding my legs unable to walk

Too cold to keep in touch

Just dragging along tomorrow again

A cat mews in a backyard, cries for tenderness

Much better than me

Much cleverer than me

Too small to love somebody

Howl at the soul

My blood getting hot and wild
