The Discovery

In each moment

Is a discovery

A realisation of the future

A recovery from the past

And in this a gratefulness,

To have hurt

To have healed

To have found

A new way to feel

To have doubted

To accept

To have made mistakes

And to mend

To have feared

To have held

All these inhibitions

Within myself

To have loved

To have known you

To have lost

To have owned

The discovery

Of humanness

And sweetness of existence

Will linger within me

Till the day I die
