Succeeded In Everything (Joseph), Pt. 1

There was a shepherd living in the land of Canaan

He had 12 sons but one of them was his beloved one

His name was Joseph, walking around with a gifted robe

He was so special, telling everyone 'bout the dreams he had

And his brothers, believe or not but they got really mad

He had two dreams lifted higher than everyone else

Watching the scene, as the others bow down to him

The brothers are confused, is he saying he will be our king?

But the father is thinking, what do these dreams mean?

One day the father, sent Joseph to check on what his brothers do

When they saw him coming, they wanted to kill him and planned it through

His brothers grabbed him, and threw him into an empty well

Out of the sudden, a caravan appeared and they chose to sell him

They tried to hide what, they just did and they killed a goat

And with its blood they, have dipped their brothers beautiful robe

They told their father, that Joseph got killed by a beast of prey

Their father mourned for his son at his grave forever and a day

For 42 days, Joseph walked through the heat of sand

Entering new ground, they brought him to egyptian land

They put him up for sale, as a slave on a market

A man named Potiphar, who worked for the king

Bought him to be serving and working for him

But the LORD guided Joseph, the LORD guided Joseph

The LORD guided Joseph, the LORD was with Joseph

So he succeeded in everything

Potiphar saw it n' put him in charge of

Everything he owned

Joseph, was a very handsome and well-built man

Potiphar's wife, she began to look at in him lustful way

She said "Come, sleep with me", she tried it some times but Joseph ran away

This is so wrong, out sin against God, it's a wicked thing

One day she forced, herself on him till he gives in

Grabbed him by his cloak, Joseph tore himself away from sin

She was left with his cloth, as she told her man of the incidence

She told him that Joseph was tryn' to abuse her

So out of her lie he got put into chains

But the LORD guided Joseph, the LORD guided Joseph

The LORD guided Joseph, the LORD was with Joseph

So he succeeded in everything

The warden saw it n' put him in charge of

The entire house
