Creature of Devotion

I don't understand my earthy body

It ebbs and flows, it flows over

It wants everything, it wants my young flesh in hungry hands

In bliss and in clover

Look in my eyes

And I won't shield away, I won't guard my emotion

I am steady on my feet, I unfold with every motion

I was made a creature of devotion

It haunts me again, it drives and I follow

The ground's always shaky, wherever I stand

I want to give you the moon and the stars, and the sky,

some sweet mystery in which to wallow

Make you feel the earth beneath your hands

Live on the far fringes of sanity

I want to live out the burning poem
