Dad's rage made the shower cold

Tears make rain into the drain

Doors bang closed and out she goes

Alone into the night

Sidewalks, dodge the shattered glass

Broken bags and sandbag traps

Old man snaps as she runs past

To cross before the light

On the bus, like barking dogs

Trying to fight off all the noise

Quiet things families avoid

All twisted up inside

Inside you violence hides

Window panes, the curtains drew
