Boots hit the pavement, city wet with the rain

Mind sharp as a blade, slicing doubt in the vein

Past shadows linger, but they ain't got the chain

Climbing to the summit, breaking free of the strain

Power moves, I step in the room

Breathing fire in the pitch-black gloom

The struggle in my lungs, but I bloom

Queen of my fate, I write my tune

Streetlights flicker while I stand in the storm

Cold nights molded me, reshaped my form

Voices tried to drag me to a toxic norm

But I’m a phoenix, rising, my soul reborn

Pressure on my back, turned coal to a gem

Eyes to the front, won’t be fooled by them

Snakes in the grass, won’t let 'em condemn

I’m my own anthem, the power’s my stem

Pen to the pad, my words knit armour tight

Hardships forged me, now I’m ready for flight

They chat on the sides, I’m their kryptonite
