Lodged

An absent minded beggar

Wide-eyed and naive

Visited by nymphs

Wanting to deceive

Was double-crossed

He thought adventure would await

That the bearers of his dreams

Would never leave him at the gates

He’s no longer afraid

He’s not sure who’s wrong or right

He it pays it no mind

Each illusion escapes

He’s offline

A marble faun stands guard

While he’s lodged in a maze

Today he’s got heaven on his sights

And only seeks to be revived

So one day

He’ll thrive

And won’t contrive

He’ll just wait

To arrive

Feasting with the beasts

Floating in mid air

If you don’t know where you’re going

Then all roads will lead you there

Where everything is nothing

And nothing is everything

Where opposites collapse

Like winter into spring

Heaven on his sights

Radiating lights

Blinded by the afterlife

He’s joined the ranks of the demised

And regained the sky
