I can't deny the painful decline

That might be over or just beginning

I'm tasting the blood

And my focus is worryingly loose

But actually fine

When others said that I was ok

I was feigning a smile with empty eyes

Honesty portrayed behind

And I'm stumbling a path I hope I never lose

Finally I am pacing a line that might lead

To wiser attempts

Or at least I could do away with the maligned side of myself that I can better
