歌詞

Once I got my own studio, everything changed again
Not overnight, but I could feel the shift
See, having your own space is one thing
Knowing how to really use it, that's something different
Then there was my homie Trax
He started teaching me the software
Showing me how to move through Pro Tools
How to record the right way
How to understand the computer instead of being intimidated by it
At first, I was just trying to keep up
Buttons, tracks, levels, and effects
It all felt pretty complicated
But once it clicked, it clicked
And after that, I was locked in
Hours at a time, teaching myself
Experimenting, messing up, learning, trying again
Until eventually, I didn't need nobody to record me no more
I could record myself
And that right there, that gave me freedom
Because now creativity didn't depend on anybody else being around
If inspiration hit at three in the morning, I could work
If I wanted to redo a verse twenty times, I could work
No waiting, no paying no studio time
Just me and the vision
And once the homies saw I could actually record
Now they start pulling up
Everybody wanted some studio time
So naturally, I start charging
Not crazy prices, but enough where it became another hustle
Only this time it felt different
It felt cleaner, it felt creative
Still in the middle of the ghetto though
But now my second room had transformed to something extra special
Foam walls, mic setups, wires everywhere
Music blasting all day and night
A real studio, at least to us
And the spot started getting known
People coming through constantly
Rappers, singers, homies from around the way
Everybody was trying to make something happen
But if I'm being honest, my quality still wasn't there yet
Not compared to the real studios
So the routine became record in my spot
Then take it to a bigger studio and get mixed
And I would hear that over and over and over
That lit something inside me
"We gon' finish it at the big studio"
That lined in my head
Because why not my studio?
Why couldn't this be the spot everybody respected?
Why couldn't my sound just be clean?
Just as professional
That's when the hunger changed again
It wasn't just about making songs anymore
Now I wanted greatness
I wanted the best equipment, the best sound, and the best studio
I wanted people to walk in my space and know it was serious
Not because of where we came from
But because of what we built
And our mindset
That's what separated me from a lot of people
Most folks were satisfied once they got in the game
Me? I wanted to master it
And little by little, your dreams start becoming bigger
