Better Me

It's like walking through sinking sand

I struggle to put on a brave face

But my smile betrays me

Im stuck and I can not get out

I sink down the more I try to grow and change

So heavy, why do we carry our doubt and shame all over the place?

Try to give myself grace, but I falter because I am afraid
