I was born about ninety years ago

I didn't know snow, all I knew was a sea

And the fish it went..

They would swim right by

And when I got tired I'd close my eyes and put my head inside my shell

That's my life! I'm a turtle ya'll!

Dig the claws in the sand

You can swim near the bottom

You will always see fish, you never see a possum

It's really really cool!

You could see alot of schools of fish

Unless of course you're sleeping in your shell you would never know what you would miss

Then you got to push, goin' around the corner seeing a octopus

Even when you're trying to see the problem you're solvin' you're surrounded by dolphins

I made a right in the dark

You might run into a big ass shark

You might run into a snail

Other days you might see the son, it's a whale

It's going through the top

Up the water when I stop

I put my head out for some air then I really don't care, back in my shell

I'm a turtle ya'll, I'm like ninety years old

I'm a turtle ya'll, I like volleyballs and toes

I like frogs, I like swimming on a pond

I like doing what I do but if you drive a car be careful, please

I don't want you to run me over

Here you be playing with your iPods

You don't see me, and you pull off to the shoulder

You're like "look honey, there's a sunset"

Yeah, little dead turtle, is it done yet?

I'm laying under your tire, there's no reason to even be tired

Because I'm dead

Look at what you humans have done, look at what your dad's have did

And look what your moms left undone

What are you really trying to think?

You think all we do is swim?

We wanna be just like you, we wanna walk on the Earth, we really wanna live

Well I'm a turtle and I belong in the sea

Where the waves of the ocean surround me

Where the sun don't shine and it don't get warm

I belong in the ocean, that's where I was born
