Somewhere lost on highway eighty is my little town

Down from the baptist church where I was found

Everyone's older and some didn't make it this long

Not because they did anything wrong

Around the corner is the lot that I called home

Beside it sits the house grandaddy built to call his own

We lived on the left, Mr. Red lived at the end

I never knew the folks in the middle

But they were all grandma's good friends
