Found you in the morning, when the light was soft and sweet

Sweetness of the honey water for the hummingbird to drink

Yesterday you tapped your feet on the kitchen tile, while I'd hum and sing

We stayed up late into the night

I must've fallen asleep

Down the stairs to the cellar door, I tiptoe toward the dirt

Centipedes and spiderwebs brush against my skirt

You wrapped yourself in plastic but you were still alive

I wondered if you'd been there all night
