Not in a Bad Way

It's good to see the daylight When I'm barely here There's at least one thing that cures me I remember dreaming about different worlds With dimensions we could never see I'm hollow from the neck up I don't think of things that are interesting To talk about now And it's when I go out I just run my mouth & I feel it then Wasting away in the best of times But I can't help missing my old mind When I'd spend all I had to spend When I'd want just for wanting it Mostly alright with how things have slowed But I know the feeling sometimes shows That I envy a different day Though I'm not in a bad way Why are we standing in the streetlights With our backs to the house Would it really looks so different if we figured it all out It's still a matter of the questions That I'm asking myself What will it take to settle the weight For my head to know it's been found Wasting away in the best of times But I can't help missing my old mind When I'd spend all I had to spend When I'd want just for wanting it Mostly alright with how things have slowed But I know the feeling sometimes shows That I envy a different day Though I'm not in a bad way It's good to see the daylight When I'm barely here There's at least one thing that cures me
