Rolling down my windows its a shame

Hidden inside now looks to be the way

In for the night now that’s for sure,

A book and a movie knocking on my door

Evening’s adventure seemingly in vain

Can’t hold the tide back like I can’t the rain

I’m all but alone now that’s for sure like well trodden pathways knocking on my door.

Why do you have to be this way? My sense of adventure come what may

Why does it have to be just like Rain

Pictures on pathways mapped out for all to see

Reflections of sunlight flicked across my knees

The red coloured houses pink blue skies,

The crashing of thunder makes me want to hide.

Why do you have to be this way

You’re never around on a summers day
