Well, it takes a little time to make it feel right

A little more to hold me through the night The clock stopped ticking when I met you

And I used to live my life like a bird on a wire

But when I met you girl, my world caught fire

And now this free bird is chasing you

Every other day, every other night You're the only reason I'm killing time

I don't wanna wait, I just wanna be with you

Come on get me out of this cage I'm in

I'm locked up and hungry from the love I'm in

Don't make me wait, don't make me wait for you

Yeah, I've always had time and my own place And that's the way my little world would stay

Before I went up and fell for you

Yeah, I know it sounds crazy, yeah I think I'm going nuts

I guess I'm hoping this will be enough

And I ain't wasting time on you

Every other day, every other night You're the only reason I'm killing time

I don't wanna wait, I just wanna be with you

Come on get me out of this cage I'm in

I'm locked up and hungry from the love I'm in

Don't make me wait, don't make me wait for you

Yeah, for you

I've never been the kind that falls this fast I'm the kind that ruins things that last

Maybe I'm just running from my past

Now I'm thinking about a life without you there

Knowing how much I really care

Knowing that's a life that I can't bear

Every other day, every other night You're the only reason I'm killing time

I don't wanna wait, I just wanna be with you

Come on get me out of this cage I'm in

I'm locked up and hungry from the love I'm in

Don't make me wait, don't make me wait for you

Yeah, for you

Yeah, for you
