Grandma's Hands

Grandma's hands, rough and worn.

But oh so gentle, like a new-born

She worked hard all her life

But never once complained or showed a frown.

Grandma's hands, strong and wise

Guiding me through the good and bad times

I'll never forget the warmth they bring,

Grandma's hands.

I try don’t think and work so hard

But every night I cry in the dark

Because I miss her so much

And her touch.

All her words were full of truth and love.

They lifted me up when I was feeling down.

I’ll always treasure moments I shared with her,

She believed in me all the time when I was lost.

Even though she's gone,

I still feel her near

In every laugh, in every tear

I’ll always be grateful for the love she gave.

And her lovely hands, oy hands, and all they’ve done for me.

Sometimes be wrong and to start it again.

You taught be honest, to love by hurt.
