Over state lines and off in the distance

Just past the place I call home

Lies a sleepy old town that always feels empty

But the people there seem to belong

I was gunning to make it, I left in a hurry

Stumbling back to my door

I crawled in to bed after downing my meds

Like a junky who finally scored
