I was spaced out for the most of the trip

I can’t even tell you of the in between

Which was once my favorite part

Now I'm so out of it

When the man asked for identification

I was still looking for my orientation

Wide awake, it's morning

Miles away

All my friends and family won’t understand I’m lost

Caught inside an in between and ever running train of thought

Turner turned up in my head again on a land-and-water aircraft

But I have given up on explaining the concept

I’m half asleep but still look alive

In a rental car down on A9

With the night still far ahead

And the sunlight gone

I just can’t shake this funny feeling, yeah

I’m never there, only in between things

Longing for a place
