Some leaders get by on good fortune

Others on good policy

Some just get by on charisma

But that's not been an option for me

Some lead their people with courage

Some even try honesty

Some think the key to respect is

To dress like a Wallaby.

But if you want to survive

When your polls take a dive

No-one's easily led

But when all else fails, try fear!

Some leaders lean too much on vision

Some lean too much on good deeds

Some just inspire with greatness

But that's not been the way this one leads.

Some build up hope with great speeches

Some build the economy first

Some appeal to our best nature

But I appeal more to our worst!

Doesn't pay to be warm

But pays to misinform

And to fan prejudicial ideas

Not to calm, but inflame
