I follow the river all the way down

to the end where you and I began

the wind gives me a shiver on the coldest night

when I come to find you again

I see your eyes I hear your alibis

I try and try to change them in my mind

I walk the town

The moonlight brings me back around

To where our love went down

time stops at the river the stars are still

and the black water disappears

is that your ghost coming to meet me on the bridge

to find what you left right here

but the moon and the water below
