Paralyzed

I pop pills and drink while I drive

'Cause I don't care if I open my eyes

I guess those 12 steps don't work every time

Or maybe I started 40 steps behind

I wake up half past 3 everyday

It feels like no one cares for me anyway

So I drive my truck about 82 in a 25

'Cause I need a bit of danger to feel alive

And I don't care what people think

As long as I can drink

I feel a little less dead inside

And I don't feel so paralyzed

I sit in the dark waiting to hear

Someone running to knock on my door

And say, "Hey man, how are you feeling?"

It feels like no one cares for me anymore

If I go, if I stay, will my troubles wash away?

Must be something I can do to help me cope
