Remembering

Do you remember when we'd gaze at the stars

And then you'd say, you'd love me 'til the stars turned cold and gray?

I remember night sky

Yes

I remember hush sounds

Me too

Nestled in the warmth feel

Watching as the blink lights blaze

I'm not remembering

But sometimes pictures come and catch my eye again

Go on

And they float on by again

Then drift away

I remember laugh bells

Is that remembering?

I remember heart smiles

Pretty pictures

Safe beneath those blink lights

When they fill the air again

Blazing down as bright as day

Like I'm almost there again

But they won't stay

I remember joy glow

Yes, you remember

Filling me with proud beams

Don't let that feeling go astray

As the little blink lights

Don't let it die

Turn their shining eyes our way

Still I'm not remembering

Try and please try to remember

I tell my eyes to try and not forget again

It's okay, just try

But they just get wet again
