When I heard you were gone

Chris gave me a call

I could see in his face

All the pain that he felt

So I put up wall

That you’d passed away like it was somebody else

Like “josh! wake up! its me!”

That boy looked like he’d seen a ghost

All thing considered those times were bad

But i felt much better when i had you close

We know now that fate vows to take us all in time

Your hourglass got cracked wish i could trade

Your place with mine

You took me in when I was lost

For that Im forever in debt

You treated me like family

With dignity and respect

You made sure I had a roof

We spoke about this wild life

And how to right the wrongs

Next morning when I woke up

Mitch took me into town

But something was tuggin at me I worried

When you were nowhere to be found

So I ran back to your place

And I busted down your door

Still dealing with that trauma

Seeing you lifeless on the floor

Ur face blue with no breath

My heart sank, i felt death

I grabbed you shook you hit your chest

And finally you coughed..

You inhaled my world spun

I knew your life was not done

The medics came took you away

In disbelief and still afraid

I don’t know how I knew that you needed me

Yet low and behold it was true

The angels spoke and pulled my strings

To bring me back to you

I’ll never dismiss the connection

Our spirits entangled and lives intertwined

You’re forever my brother in spirit and light
