I had a monkey

A clever monkey

Hanging on my back

He was a junkie

A funky junkie

And everyday he want smack

I would lay in bed all day

With my band-aids and gauze

Feed my monkey when he cried

And then he’d stick his claws

Into my neck, oh what the heck

That’s what monkeys do

Into my feet, oh what a treat

They just turned black and blue

Into my arm, what a charm

I had a heart attack

And now he’s movin’ on, he’s finally gone

And finally off my back
