As Pioneer's shuttle fills with energy, he quickly makes contact with Earth's control station. Time seems to bend on itself; he doesn't have a second to lose. He demands an immediate return to Earth, activates the shuttle's emergency thrusters and turns around at speeds beyond the speed of light.
