It's so strange, the way time flies

It can pass you by in the blink of an eye

One day you're happy

And then everything disappears

The next thing you know all the days

Have turned into too many endless years

And now it feels like I'm trapped inside a prison without walls

I feel so cold and numb inside

The fire behind my eyes has all but died

It happens so slowly that you aren't even aware

How it eats away at your soul until there's nothing there
