Another glaring mistake

That fills the voids in my brain like a tumor

Constantly pacing wall to wall

Feels like I’m going insane

Padded cells and empty halls but I

Imposter

Can still hear the call

Always seeming to fall short

The lines all contort

It’s eating me alive

From the inside

Like a slow motion suicide

And it's tearing me apart

Stuck in the syndrome like a thorn stuck in my side

I have to lie to myself and say that I can do this right

But I lie

Two steps forward and ten steps back

Never thought I’d get this far now it’s

Everything that I can do to finally kill it off

Now I can’t believe this is the real me

I don't feel I can safely be free

There are so many reasons to recluse

I've left behind the desire to stay true

I'll criticize my every move

Just to make sure I can shape the end

Black out the belief that I am something

Kill it quick

Quit while I'm ahead

If it isn’t the end, why do I always see the edge?

I feel the weight of my existence pulling me down beyond my ability to keep moving on

And I still give it all I've got just to let everything get taken from me

Make it a point to hide who I wanna be

Who am I?

How do I deserve this?
