After every rainy day

I sit in a silent space

Waiting for something to happen

For something to change my life

My head begins to spin with the possibilities

Which slowly turns to fear

Failure being the only option for me

My shortcomings being the only trait present

So I pause, and wait again

Memories begin to creep into every corner of my mind

A better past is all I see now

Hindering me from moving forward

I'm stuck here

I need to get out of this empty space in which I lie and call comfort

I need to get out of my head, a place never fully understood, yet remaining undiscovered

I need to get out of this impossible perfection in which I place myself

There must be a way to break out of all of this

I just haven't found it yet
