Mr. Hong: Were there any other values or life lessons you wanted to teach your kids? And do you think the same lessons (Grandpa) passed to you - you wanted to pass to your kids?

Dad: Yes, definitely, trust your kids. Let your kids do what they think is the right thing to do

Dad: Unless you think it is grossly wrong, then you can totally veto, but otherwise let them go through

Dad: Even doesn't come out the way they want it, but that lesson itself worth going through that experience

Dad: And I think my dad is like that. I don't know if you remember grand dad - when he retired, I feel it just like that

Dad: He never pressured me about: oh, wow, you should do this, do that, move here, move there, or, you know, come and come to Canada or something, he never do that

Dad: He never pressure, not just me, it's everyone in his family that it's your life you, you, you deal with it. I just be supportive and facilitate

Dad: If you need me, I'm always there. that should be our role, you know that should be our parents role

Dad: Even like your kid - if you want them to learn how to walk, you don't just hold their hand all the time

Dad: You just have to let them walk their own and learn how to balance

Dad: Same thing for bike bicycle training

Dad: I don't know if you remember that I trained you in car driving, right?

Dad: I mean, you cannot be there 24 / 7, when especially when they're getting bigger and older

Dad: You know, raising a kid, it's more joy than burden

Dad: I always look at it, it's so joyful, you know you enjoy it

Dad: I'm not trying to paint a rosy picture for you, but seriously

Dad: Money or anything you cannot trade for that, you know, it's just that experience alone

Dad: it's pain to a certain extent you cannot sleep well, you cannot have your own time, but on the other hand, the joy part is just amazing, you know, seeing you guys grow up, you know, every day is different
