It appears that my genres are caught in a slump

Stuck ankles deep, feet lost in the mud

But the issue of my dedication's not to discuss

And I laugh when they say Hip Hop's not in my blood

And belch when I eat like I am the same

This is the difference

It's intrinsic

For me to try and bridge the distance

But I leap at first, no inhibitions

No intermittent work days

Reality's not gone, just look farther

Rocking house parties to opera houses

And pleasure material objects can give is as false as it gets

I used to want a major label, or I thought that I did

Now destroying pop's at the top of my list

And I won't stop 'till it is

I've walked through flames, but none burned like the flames within

I've treaded ice that was paper thin

I've waited my whole life just to get a taste of this

And learned that the wait was just as worth it
