Someone who should’ve been here today

Someone who my family and I should’ve met but never did

Someone who’s missing

Now I don't know how to start this, I know we really don't know each other

But your mom is my mom, yea that's right, I'm your older brother

And no we never met, and I never even really knew that you left

I was only 9 years old, unaware that mom wept

I wasn't really old enough to contemplate death

And as time went by, I didn't realize or care still

Whenever the fam was together having a good time

There should've been one more chair filled

I guess heaven couldn't wait

We never heard your voice, or seen your face

Never got to hear ‘it's a boy, it's a girl’, never got to hear how much u weighed

You left us before you could meet us. Why did it have to be?

If God had let you out the womb, there'd be one more face in these pictures of our family

Nevertheless I'm excited for the day, I'm where you are, and I finally get to meet you

& I can only pray our sister's follow Christ, so that one day you could meet them too

Sometimes we don't understand. The big picture just isn't clear

The ones we love disappear, while we live in a broken sinful world filled with tears

I think about 99, you would've been 15 this year

Would’ve been your own person, with likes and hates, with love and pain, with dreams and fears

Lord no matter what you choose, I pray that we worship you

Even if it hurts, especially when it hurts, it's extremely crucial that we turn to you

In you is our strength, help us trust in your promises

Believe you restore, fall to our knees, never doubt you, striving to live in Godliness

And though it's painful now, the good news should make us feel warm inside

One day Christ is returning for those who love Him and will wipe every tear from their eyes

There will be no more death, no more hurt, no more pain

There's hope in Christ for you, if you trust in Him, one day the old things will pass away

So if someone is missing

Though it seems hopeless, there's hope in Jesus, God heals the broken

One day we'll finally meet, but til then, I'll remember this, that

God, thank you that you are a father

We pray for those who are missing

And we pray for those Lord God, who would be coming in the future

That they would make it out of their mother’s womb

And they would make it into our church family

I invite you Holy Spirit, to rest heavily upon your people

And then to compel our hearts to rejoice in hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ
