On the road to nowhere Maybe I enjoy the poison ivy covered walls To run my hands along Spider webs are pretty I love the symmetry I love the symmetry And oh the clouds are rolling in And the summer storm is shouting down insults at Berlin And oh I'm smothered by the streets Trying to reconnect with nature by feedings the pigeons Sometimes I need to know there heartbeats Close to mine An ever morphing picture lives inside me Then the rain comes in and the city street Glows and shines And I forget the future is even coming On a path to somewhere And there a river Reflects a thought that had got lost deep inside my mind Memories of coastlines Walking along the ocean bed under the moonlight Under the moonlight And oh the rumble of the waves And the driftwood covered beaches have haunted me for days And oh the white noise in my sleep Like a cloud of indecision unable to feel Sometimes I need to know there heartbeats Close to mine An ever morphing picture lives inside me Then the rain comes in and the city street Glows and shines And I forget the future is even coming And we call through the window Facing forward And we call out through the window Hearing nothing but echos We call We call out We call We call out
