Sun Will Rise

When you're down in the darkness for so very long

You forget there's such a thing as light

And it's hard to imagine that morning will come

When you're in the deepest corner of the night

But the world keeps revolving, it goes on and on

Turning from the dark and embracing the dawn

That's why you, me, all can agree

That the sun, will rise once again

 

In the dead of the winter it's tough to believe

That anything will ever grow again

And that ice on the window looks way to thick

To melt away and let the springtime in

But a change of the seasons is all that's required

To warm and renew and refresh and inspire

There is always somebody, one in every crowd

You know that type of guy

He mumblin and grumblin and moanin out loud

Won't he be surprised when the light in his eyes

 

Well, the sun came up on Monday and Tuesday as well

And the chances are good tomorrow will tell

Of a big, bright, ball of delight when the sun, comes up once again
